Oh Joy I have just managed to see last nights One Show and there was our old friend Adebanji. Sketching Jeremy Paxman and showing his painting progress on Lesley Ash. Adebanji is a long term member of POL and contributes to the magazines . Examples of his posted work can be found on the gallery here. So have a look all you people who have not yet found him ,he's rather a special guy. And I know Robert and I consider him a friend albeit virtually. He kindly sent me a small painting to help raise funds for Syrian Refugee Children earlier this year ,so besides being an inspirationa artist he is a lovely guy. Go and enjoy his work.
Yes, he´s good. He´s very good.
Saw him on Landscape Artist of the Year last year and was astounded when he did not win. More a comment on the judges than Adebanji.
I told him a while ago - if he could bottle that enthusiasm, I'd buy a crate of it. I think he'd probably wear me out in ten minutes, but it would be wonderful to be able to work with him - unfortunately, I know I couldn't keep up: but then, can anyone? Some people just make the world a better place, and he's one of them. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
We are really pleased to have a whole year's worth of motivational articles from Adebanji in The Artist next year - starting with 'Never, Ever Give Up!' in the January issue (out on December 2).
I had to find this on the playbcak system and then has to find the relevant bits of him after wading through the usual dross that makes up this programme. Enjoyed seeing him and his results.
