Went to see some relatives of mine today who have two small children. They were playing with an etch a sketch toy and asked me to do a drawing , then joked they had better not erase it as it could be valuable in the future (joke). Anyway that got me thinking, if A Great Artist (supply your own name) did a drawing on an etch a sketch as an amusement for some children, would it be worth anything? Does the medium matter? Does it matter that it was never intended to be a serious work? Or is that all overshadowed by the fact that the Great Artist did it? What do you think?
