If you have a spare 30 minutes over the festive period and need a little inspiration, or, if you are wondering why you bother doing art, especially if it all feels too much bother. Watch this video of a painter called Peter M Hicks, who at the tender age of 86 was invited to be artist in residence at Fountains Abbey and Studley.
His enthusiasm is infectious.
