So well done all of you. I need some help please, I have done some playing with wet in wet and a little salt as a background, I am quite pleased with the effect but am at a loss as to what to use as a subject and also which way up it should be, Should the pink be at the bottom or top.... any suggestions would be very helpful, I need inspirations, to get me going again. :w00t:
Personally I would put the darker colour at the bottom of the painting the balance is better. But Tao this is your picture ! So the decisions must be yours . Paint anything on top of it it’s a lovely textured back drop. Maybe a still life, a landscape or even an abstract. Look at those lovely shapes and see where your heart and brush take you .
Great reply from Sylvia. Personally I would endorse having the darker colour at the bottom. Lovely backdrop, can see landscape or seascape possibilities, with perhaps a sunset sky? Or as Sylvia suggested an abstract? Best wishes for further experimenting.
