If you would like an excellent book on Oil Painting for free, you can get one in pdf form from http://www.winsornewton.com/resource-centre/the-oil-colour-book.
This book explains the history of oil paints, the differences in the various types, painting techniques and many more subjects of interest to both new comers to oil painting and to experienced oil painters.
I strongly suggest that you download this excellent book. :-D
