As im a beginner at watercolour painting, and a few months back, I entered a competition just for beginners, so beginners work is not normally to a high standard, as if youve never painted in your life before you would expect, work not to be exceptional.
I had a letter back stating because the had a huge response, the the beginners works was to a high standard, what was the point of entering a competition a competition for beginners, thats the last time i'll enter a competition.
I entered my very 1st painting which Ive been told by a botanical tutor, that daffodils are very hard to paint, but I found it very easy, so that was the picture I entered.
So I would like comments on this, and if you look at my portfollio My First Painting, you should be able to see what I entered.
I would also like comments on this, would you expect a beginner to painting to be excellent.
B-)
