I have just visited a gallery over here in Norfolk. I always go and have a look to see who is exhibiting that month. About 20 or so artists show paintings at any one time. They are mostly not big names, but obviously make a living out of selling their work.
Well - for the umpteenth time I have walked around this gallery, studying the work and I have to say that I don't see anything half as wonderful as I see on our own gallery. Today I thought the paintings were particularly uninspiring. Some of them were very accurately protrayed, but they seemed to lack that verge, excitement and that certain something that sets a painting apart from the others.
I see this excitement and originality in bucketloads on our gallery - so I just wanted to say 'Well done everyone' - I think our gallery is very special.
