Have you been to the Summer Exhibition If so what did you think of it.
As friends we went on one of the friends days and generally we were not impressed. There were some good paintings particularly in the last room hung by Anthony Green and a few in the small room.
I thought that some of the abstracts were Ok and there were some decent works in the room hung by Humphrey Ocean, particularly 'Black Gachet' by Mark Alexander.
Jeff Koons 'Cracked Egg' sculpture was a cracker and we also liked the Kapoor sculpture.
Lets hear what other people thought.

Welcome. I share your problem with the magazines - I haven't subscribed to any mag for around two years, chiefly because I just don't have the room for them (I've got a couple of cupboards full). And I'd rather someone else had the use of them than throw them away. <div>
</div><div>I don't have an Ipad, but I've seen some excellent work done on it = and I have no problem at all with how people produce their art, so long as it gives them pleasure and fulfilment and can do the same for other people. I wouldn't at all mind having a go - it's the cost that puts me off, plus the fact that I just enjoy the experience of putting real, physical paint on paper or canvas - because I did play around a bit with Paint, the very basic programme in Windows, and enjoyed that (and found it useful for exploring ideas for sketches to be worked up later in pencil or paint). </div><div>
</div><div>As I've got a bit of a problem with painted canvases/boards building up around the place - where have my customers gone?? - a digital alternative does seem attractive. </div>

I don't subscribe to the digital editions of Leisure Painter and The Artist as I think they charge too much for the elactronic versions. I've had a look through the Kindle electronic mags on offer, they all seem to be about a quid or two cheaper than these people charge. I also don't take the electronic mags cos I think there is something lost in not being able to thumb through real pages.bestMick

Thanks for that info Biggrabe. I love my IPad and didn't realise there is a subscription to the mags for iPad Like Robert I have so many in boxes and cupboards I am at the stage of what do I do with them all. I have given a lot away to clubs and individuals but still have more. I get reminder letters and am very tempted but why add to the piles of magazines I already have . So I shall look at your suggestion. <div>

I have been looking to give a new picture to my personal gallery but it really would not work, 642-035 exam questions the idea simply exhibits a little image in the heart of your container, the idea resemble some sort of floppy drive, or even a site using the corner rejected. As i click the idea the idea exhibits a good 'in progress' swirl (sorry are not aware of your complex term!! ) We attempted cutting down your photograph dimension but it really still would not work, features anybody else discover this kind of?
