I spent an afternoon last week setting up my second solo exhibition in the library of the small town of Tadley, Hampshire.
Last time - February, perhaps not the best month - I sold a triptych of pumpkins.
This time, I have more framed works, and more local pictures of Tadley. Well, the outskirts thereof. I've also tried to balance the big (impressive, expensive) with the small (accessible, affordable). And there's a poppy painting. A new one, 'cos I sold all the others :-)
I'm hoping that there might be a few people looking for Christmas presents...
And other attempts to clear some of the backlog of paintings in the dining room are also afoot. I'm doing a couple of Christmas craft fairs and - here's the sneaky thing - I got a Big Book of Landscapes printed up by Bonusprint, taking full advantage of a special offer that allowed me to get 120 A4 pages for £20. It's already been borrowed for the weekend by a school run acquaintance, and I've been told there could be a sale in the offing there. But the idea was that it's a portfolio for use at said craft fairs, to which I usually only take smaller works (and printed stuff).
