I have a number of paintings for sale at a local gallery and am entering six into an open selling exhibition in York. I know how much I would be happy to accept for them but do I ask for gallery prices so as not to undercut the gallery or do I set lower prices to encourage sales? Is it bad manners to ask for less? Also this is my first time at an open exhibition - any tips on what to do / what not to do? All help gratefully accepted.
