We've earmarked Thursday night for watching the recording made last night, so no spoilers please:-)  We record just about everything we want to watch, there is so little, and it gives us summat to watch when we fancy watching telly, but there's nowt on. bestMick

It was a very enjoyable and eye opening programme, with many examples from the Royal collection and the library, I may even watch my recorded programme again :-D

Penlee House Gallery in Penzance specialises in the Newlyn School of painting. An enthusiastic friend/relative took me there in August and encouraged me to make a painting inspired by the gallery for the annual "Penlee Inspired" open exhibition. This is my painting, posted on the gallery a while back: http://www.painters-online.co.uk/gallery/picture.asp?id=99418 I framed it and sent it to Cornwall with the in-laws on spec and was greatly gratified to hear that Penlee House would like to include it in the show. It has bee safely delivered and my one regret is that I will be unable to attend the preview evening. The show runs from 29 November to 10 January; I should get down to see it around New Year.
