It's not about technique, it's about looking closely and identifying the colour. Buy an old paperback that shows this effect from a charity shop and look closely at the colour and the colours next to it. At a broad guess I would say yellow ochre as a start, but it is very hard to suggest a catch all solution for a specific painting problem.
