Thought I'd try to attach my first ever painting, but doesn't seem to be allowing it....ho hum...I'll try again now...if it appears twice...apologies! Also, those last two emoticons were accidents and when I try to edit my post, I can't scroll to bottom of it...probably because I'm using a tablet, not a PC. D

Sounds like you are enjoying yourself which is what it is all about, one thing don't throw stuff away, it always helps later on when you feel that you aren't progressing that you can go back and see how far you have come. Look forward to seeing some of your efforts.

Welcome David - so nice to have a new contributor raising questions and points for discussion. Even when they have discussed before it keeps the grey matter working and reminding us all what this is all about. Yes, you really must post your work and I look forward to seeing it in the gallery. In doing so it helps to ask for comments - I know it's not always easy to ask for criticism and advice but there many who have done so and the responses are always useful and constructive. I'm sure you will find it of great benefit.

Hee hee, how do, lad....  You'll work out how to upload a picture to the Gallery, if you haven't already; basically, when you seek to upload a file, ensure it has  a simple title, no commas or other punctuation marks or the site won't recognize it. <div> </div><div>It's never too soon to add you pictures to the Gallery - make it clear you want comments.</div><div> </div><div>There's a wealth of experience on this site - it has its idiosyncracies, like every other site, but it's the place to be if you want to share your work.  So welcome, and please post.  </div>
