Hi all, I finally got stuck in to doing a painting of the famous steam engine "Tornado", that appeared on the Top Gear program. I thought it would make a very "paintogenic" subject, as steam engines often are. The idea was to get the kind of idealised picture that would take very many years of waiting on the lineside with a thermos to capture on camera - the advantage we painters have over photographers!:
