I usualy use light red with a touch of permenant rose though I dont think about staining as I dont lift of colour, while on,, and so as not to remove your thread . any one know a manufacturer of artists watercolour cobalt blue.. who uses actual cobalt pb28

Try Winsor Red - if it's a bright red you want.  I don't think it stains as much as Cadmium.

I know this is nothing to do with staining red but the forum is boring .boring boring .of late and anything to do with art is not on the menu with a lot of people . this may of be of no interest ..because .talking of anything like art is a no no .whatmans papers being sold on e bay recently (paper is what they use of use for painting on)) that was from nineteen sixties..and a batch was found still packaged from that date,was of no interest to anyone but me ....so its no use me asking did anyone buy any . sorry if I shook you up .just go back to sleep ,,except Robert .and those awake on here
