If you havent been to studio 71 yet, now is the time tocome along We have a great show on the go, lots to see, lots to buy . Christmas is just around the corner. Art and Craft from £1.00 upwards. all quite unique. Make a day of studios all over north Wales. Great scenery, lovely people. "We keep a welcome in the hillside"and the pub lunches are pretty good too.

Like your work: I saw your points about gaudy colours, or unsubtle ones .... I think there's a place for the unsubtle - we had decades, centuries even, of the subtle, although much of the time the subtlety we saw was the consequence of decades of browning varnish. I think the old masters expected that, though: they knew their paintings would change over time. <div>
</div><div>In short - because, let us be honest, one does run on now and then - I wouldn't worry about subtlety; I'm sure the old fellers didn't, and I don't think you need to. </div>
