Putting this into my gallery, which I thought I had already done, but no. I did this on canvas board last year in my 'fractured plane ' phrase. I find black-lining very satisfying to do, but have not so far fathomed out why. Could be a throw-back to the simple reading books I was introduced to as a child....I was nervous of school but loved reading and the books themselves, especially their illustrations, usually printed in three colours, four at the most.. I would love to hear other artists' experiences of their early reading material. I still have a copy of a Warne book, from when i was about 4 years of age. One illustration was of a cow in a meadow, and the text read..."The friendly cow all black and white, I love with all my heart. She gives me cream with all her might, To eat with apple tart." I shall have it buried with me, i think!!
