Hi all, I recently had a painting selected for the Leamington Spa Art Gallery Open. After I had sent off the submission cheque I read the small print which said for professional artists only, so I was expecting humiliation. But, I was one of 39 selected out of over 300 so feel really pleased with myself.
Anyway, the point of this thread is that the day before going on hols I received an e-mail from the gallery asking for biographical details to collect into a visitors' pack, so I hastily replied with a very brief paragraph by e-mail. Yesterday I looked into the exhibition and was dismayed to see the info pack was full of very professional looking full colour promotion sheets, amongst which was my sad looking printed sheet off the e-mail. My lesson is that if I don't have time to prepare something properly then it's better to do nothing.
