Hi. I'm mid project on my website http//www.wall-smacker-art.com This is a tribute to the memory of the Bismarck and HMS Hood battleships, both of which sank between 24th and 27th May 1941 in a crucial action of the Second World War, and to the many thousands of valiant men who lost their lives. I am creating two oil paintings - one of the Bismarck in the Denmark Strait just after the sinking of the Hood; the second of HMS Hood in happier, more tranquil times, docking in Vancouver harbour in 1924 - one stop on her world cruise to display the might of the British Navy. Please join in the project and watch the paintings develop from blank canvasses to finished works; read the history; enjoy the notes on the painting process; and add your comments to the forum or suggest titles for the finished works. The First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope is to sign the first of the limited edition prints of the Hood picture, which is to be donated to an auction to raise funds for the British Forces. I should very much welcome your support in spreading the word about this venture and making it a success. I've added a blog to this site too - so please feel free to comment on there as well. Happy website viewing, and thanks!
