This is a combination of soluble and non soluble inks, using an Artpen,  a Fude pen, and a brush pen.  I've even added a Bob Ross-type tree on the right for his connoisseurs, of which I trust there are not many.  I did a version of this farmouse - whose only interesting feature really is that strange gable-end, in watercolour some years ago; a now departed visitor to the site said he might have bought it, if "it wasn't so crudely painted". Well, you want crude, I can always oblige.   The Rotring Art pen - which I generally find rather better for writing, though it has its points - is filled with carbon black non-soluble ink; the inks laid are top are water soluble, though it takes quite a bit of water to make them so.
That adverse comment - which I remember so well - seems to have disappeared from the w/c in my Gallery - I don't know how, because I didn't remove it: I'm not that sensitive.  I obviously didn't look at the watercolour before drawing the above, because the only things the two have in common are the downland hill in the background, and the aforementioned weird gable end.   By the way, back to (flaming) Cloud Flare - it buffered, and havered, and went for a cream tea while I was trying to upload this, and then timed out: suspecting knavery on its part, I looked at the Gallery - and there it is.  No, hang on - different picture!  Same story, different picture.  Confused?   I am!
