Our Southampton Urban Sketcher Group were invited to spend 2 hours yesterday watching, studying and drawing 3 Spanish dancers, their choreographer and 2 piece combo in a vast church where they had hosted a day of creative activities. It was quite daunting and to give you an idea of the subjects here are some photos I took. I will post my work in a separate post. The dancers were classic style, Flamenco and modern. The classic dancer (first one in black) was in different getup initially and I didn't get a shot of her but I did enjoy my efforts you'll see later.

Horror of horrors, I am going to face a similar challenge at my portrait class on Wednesday morning. A ballerina is going to be moving in the class for a couple of hours. Does anyone have any tips of how to make the most of this? e.g. whether to use paint, ink, chalk, pastel or paint. whether to try to remember a pose and draw that. any advice welcome.
