If there's a silver lining to the current situation (along with some nudging by both my wife and sister) it is that I have picked up my pencils again. I had a beaten up robin nesting box that was waiting for me to repair it and it looked right for sketching. So here is my first effort for this forum. It  took me two hours and forty five minutes on and off. Critiques and tips welcomed.

Hi Gary and welcome. Why don’t you join in our April sketch a day here on the forum. As you’ll see it doesn’t have to be every day, in many cases it’s not.  Nice sketch by the way. Tell your wife and sister to keep nudging! Tessa

Hi and welcome from me too Gary.  Very nicely drawn.  I agree with Tessa, the dailyish sketches are good fun and a good way to virtually meet up with other members.

Wonderful detail, I get the impression from your post that you might have stopped drawing for awhile, Glad you are at it again.. I am also just starting back after letting  "Life" take control.  Thank you for sharing such a great drawing!
