As you may know I've now completed 50 Art Critic cartoons which I've posted in the gallery and to be truthful I have run out of ideas for the time being. So, as suggested, I am now about to post a few cartoons featuring Glenit which I may continue to post if you like them. First a bit of background to Glenit may be helpful. Back in the late ‘90’s when I was working at Glenfield Hospital NHS Trust I was approached by one of the IT managers to design a cartoon character to accompany a training programme he was hoping to develop. He was a bee keeper and so it seemed to me that a bee would be appropriate and as for a name: Glenfield Information Technology became Glenit. Later he was joined by Glenis - Information Strategy . I had a lot of fun thinking up the cartoons which are based mostly on a play on words and are in strip format. However I do have one or two single frame cartoons which I will post in the gallery and if popular I will draw more. The training programme took off and Glenit was also featured in several local magazines and a big glossy County magazine published monthly. Currently he is featured in our local village magazine.I developed Glenit on the minimalist lines which I still use in my line drawings. Please let me know if you like him - I have just posted No1
