I have an issue with spraying my charcoal drawings with fixative. The tones of the drawing change once sprayed with fixative, leaving a dull sunken appearance.
I have tried to achieve a dark a tone as possible with black soft pastel, and these areas are affected in particular. Any suggestions regarding the techniques and use of fixative would be helpful.
