I am interested in techniques on building increasingly darker layers of charcoal in drawing, and the best media to use to create the darkest and blackest black. I can not find a darker grade of charcoal than the Conte Crayon 2B, and need a darker grade of charcoal than this in order to develop my drawings. Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.
