FOR SALE
"Starting with Watercolour" Revised edition 1988. Hardcover, good dust-jacket . Tight, clean. and complete. Boards are light blue with gold titling.

Are you working from a photograph or is it that you just have no idea of the colour and working from a line illustration. As regards mixing colours, understanding what your colours will give if mixed together is a place to start. Make yourself a colour chart. start with a row of colours across the top and in a column down the side. Then moving across and down mix a colour from the top row and side column so you end up with a grid of different colour combinations.
Then of course varying the proportions of one or other colour will give a different result. It's a good exercise to learn about colour mixing. Then of course there is the matter of tonal value, have a look at this page on my website about that.

if you could post me a pick of how far you are with it.. I could maybe post you back with how I would aproach it and colours I would use /churches are different colours of stone in parts of the country ,the area helps
