Well, I promised an effusive poem, so hankies to the ready! My poetry skills are really that bad, I'm afraid!
Ode to the Jedi (effusive poem 1)
Well, it’s time for a cry and a laugh,
My poem you might find impossibly naff,
But here I go with my effusive story,
Of a sci-fi guy covered in “glory”!
Sometimes, he sits by the Thames,
And paints for our eyes, the most marvellous gems!
To me, his dishes he sends when he’s fed!
Blimey, just look at their state!
Our friend we like to call Jed,
With his banter, he’s ever a mate!
Now, we gathered he’s a bit of a case,
As, Dear Reader, I’m sure you suspect,
He comes to us from beyond Outer Space,
Where they made him with just a small defect,
There’s something not quite right in its place,
For he thinks he’s b* perfect!
But in this ode, we’re here to give him his dues,
His know-how in Art he freely shares,
And he’s even most frank with all of his views,
From which you can tell that he really cares.
So, with a tear in our eye..heh... enough said,
Here’s to our mate, the inimitable Jed! :-S :-( :'(
