I went to Kelvingrove last week and it is a fantastic place. So many paintings and sculpture and all things arty! This is the first time I have been to a gallery apart from a small local one. Its the first time I have seen paintings by people I have only read about like Dali, Lowrey, Monet, Rembrandt, they were all inspiring and its amazing how well the colours look given that they were done so long ago. One in particular I liked was two calves lying down on straw by David Gauld, one of "the Glasgow boys". They will be having an exhibition shortly on "the Glasgow boys" and I will be going back again. Tomorrow I am going to Edinburgh's Art Galleries and hope that it will be as inspirational as Glasgow. :-D
