I apologise for starting yet another new thread, but I am so enjoying 'chatting' to arty folk that I can't seem to stop wanting to ask opinions about the various aspects of painting.
What I wanted to ask is - do you think it is important to develop a recognisable 'style' of painting. I think most people who have read the bits I have written know that I am trying to develop a very definite style. However, I spend quite a bit of time looking at all the galleries (as they are so inspiring) and I have noticed that some people have a very recognisable style and some paint in several different styles, often within the same medium. So - what are you all doing - going for a style or doing something completely different?
