Heres a photograph of clematis Ernest Markham , five inches across . I think its a beautiful flower and I would love to see some of the flower painters on our forum do a painting of it. What do you say ?.....Syd

I don't understand Sylvia - are you saying this took 15 mins plus 5 mins "tarting up"! Think I will give up now!! Incidentally, very pretty (she says enviously).

Well Syd, I took your challenge literally and painted mine like your photo. My painting is larger than the real thing and the flower measures nine and a half inches. I've just put it on the gallery. I hope you like it. Sylvia, your painting is great.

I just posted my version of Syd's Challenge on the Gallery. It is a 30 minutes pen and wash. Size A4. Because I didn't have the right red in my paintbox, I used the one as close as possible. Thank you for having a look and maybe posting a comment. http://www.painters-online.co.uk/artist/MiaKetels
