Hi all, hope you're weather is shaping up better than ours here, in Vancouver. We had SNOW last night and it is sticking around! This is unheard of around here, for this time of year. Anyway, I wanted to mention an article I saw in yesterdays paper, stating "Veteran actor Tony Curtis poses for pictures as he showcases his artwork at an exhibition Thursday in Harrods in central London". Does anyone else have a problem with this whole thing of celebrities using their already established notoriety to slide laterally into another field and become an instant success? I know this happens in the Los Angeles area all the time. Galleries are full aging celebrities artworks. I have no problem with them taking up the brush, or whatever, but that they use their name to forward their interests is very annoying. Would he have gotten this show at Herrods had he not been Tony Curtis?
