I thought I would start a light-hearted thread - not really a serious subject, just a bit of fun in finding out if there is a subject that you definitely shy away from painting.
For me it is 'still life'. I really cannot quite grasp the point of it. However, I have seen some fantastic still life paintings on the gallery and can see that they have been painted with real emotion and connection with the subject - so why don't I feel the love?? I love buildings and people. Pure landscape - just trees and things scares me, so I don't do much of that - all that foliage!!
What subject, if any, either turns you off or frightens you to death?
