I don't think I need to introduce myself as I'm not exactly new to the Forum, and if anyone wants to know more they can look at my profile and be amazed. Or appalled, of course. So instead, I thought I'd post a picture of myself taken by the friend who gave me a new camera, and taken with the camera. I blame it for the fact that I'm looking old and fat. But I'm in denial. It is time for that diet. It really is....
Life is too short for that nonsense, Robert, enjoy what life has to offer...and you don't look fat.
Nope, not fat. Maybe a little loose around the cheeks, but you're what? 55 in that picture, 60? Allowed at that age, skin doesn't stay elastic forever. (But loose isn't "fat", it;s the absence of fat and skin elasticity). You look like a TV star - But I've forgotten his name. Plays spies and cops and such.. he appeared on Top Gear... I'll see if I can find his name. EDIT - got it Brian Cox, the Scottish actor.

Sixty-five, actually, Dippy - so I'm hugely flattered: and if I wasn't before, I am by the comparison. I shall walk with a greater swagger now. And probably fall over. Carol, I like your thinking on the diet front: I've just ordered a bigger pair of trousers instead.
Trousers with an elasticated waist - whatever happened to them? We used to call the eat-more-trousers. Robert - not that I'm suggesting for one moment that you need them.
Robert you are a CHILD, look at me and Sydley. Though I do have a few years to catch up with him. Plus you look good ( even with the eat more trousers )
Agree with Carol - life is far too short Robert. Know what I'm talking about as I have spent too many years trying to lose weight - Enjoy.
Hello and welcome to P.O.L, Adele. ...and I've spent far too many years keeping the weight off, but now in my Autumnal years I will enjoy a little indulgence :satisfied:
Happy birthday Syd and congratulations - and keep posting.
A belated happy birthday Syd!
