in my opinion tuition by an artist who has a unique style ,like say Shorley Trevina would be hugely enjoyable to watch her painting but i cant see anyone being able to paint anything like her style or have her imagination.some artists with shall we say a tansferrable style or mode of painting would be of help and instruction to those seeking it. Again it is not necessary to go to Venice , thailand or Timbuctoot to learn to paint. After all there is plenty of beautiful places in Scotland .or even England where we can practice our art and still hafve an English breakfasti in the hotel or such we are staying at and there is less chance of food poisoning or beri beri or heatstroke or being trampled by an elephant(Thailand) or drowning in the Grand Canal (banal) . What we need for beginners or advanced ones is tuition in the style of Alan Owen or our own Robert Jones to get us painting and developing our own style eventually..Amen. Syd :-) :-)
