I have just returned from the art group I attend in Portadown. I stepped out of my comfort zone and used watercolours (with great success), enjoyed discussing art with like minded locals and would highly recommend the group to anyone in the area.
They have a library of instructional CDs, magazines and organise exhibitions and are a friendly and talented bunch of people. If you think N.I. is a cultural desert outside of Belfast, give it a try! :-D
