I like the look of the daggers - I've never actually used one. I've not used System3 brushes, but have seen them in an art shop - they look to be very well made, and well suited to the purpose, which is handling System3 acrylics, a quite fluid paint. I wonder how they'd cope with Cryla (also made by Daler-Rowney and one of my favourite acrylic brands). Probably most of us (?) these days use Rosemary's brushes, because of their ultra-high quality, product development commitment, and extremely reasonable pricing. But both Winsor and Newton and Daler-Rowney still make excellent brushes - some are expensive, but undoubtedly worth it. It's a sobering thought that quite a few of my brushes were made by craftspeople who are no longer with us - some of my hogs being at least 50 years old, and still in excellent condition. I don't believe the old claim that 'a poor workman always blames his tools' - there's nothing worse in painting that having to fight with a rotten brush which sheds like a dog, splays, and loses its shape or point after just a couple of uses. I'm sure that would not be the case with the brushes John shows above (my only reservation about them being the short handles: fine for watercolour or watercolour techniques, but I prefer a long handle for easel painting).
