Spent the morning mounting and framing. I use a foam board to protect the work top from the mount board blade (I use a Logan Cutter) and I wonder what others use? Anyway, this morning the foam board was getting pretty cut up and was no longer a suitable surface to work on. And then I remembered I have some off-cuts of cushion floor in the garage following some recent work in the house. Not sure if anyone else has used it but it turned out to be perfect for the job. I used it face side down and the backing is even marked out in squares which assists lining up etc. Cut marks seem to disappear and it seems even better than the mats which are sold by artwork suppliers for blade work and which are never large enough anyway for mount cutting. purpose. When I run out a visit to the local carpet shop for a few remnants - problem solved.
