I dislike the following colours in my work and heres why.
Viridian.....why use an unnatural green then try to sort it by mixing in otyer colours?
All the thalo blues and greens,Winsor blue and Prussian blue......they are aggressive
and get into every colour you axre using.
Paynes Grey is a pain also dead and funereal aureolin yellow.....who invented this weak and expensive colour? whats wrong with lemon yellow instead?
I would like to addthat selections of these are advocated by professional artists for use
by the innocent beginner in painting.No wonder some ghastly paintings are produced
with vile greens ,blues and peely wally yellows(see Scottish dictionary)
I am sure many of you will agree with me or learn to eschew thesecolours in future works of art. Syd. ;-)
