I've just picked up a book featuring the art of Kerstin Farnert, called Nordic Light, in excellent condition. I paid £8 for it in a charity shop and on looking on line it is £75 new so a good deal. Sadly there appears to be little on line of this Danish artist but at least I have a book featuring about 50 of her works in superb reproduction. Her work is best described as muted and I fell in love with it as soon as I openned it - I just had to buy it.  Much of her work features sweeping landscapes in semi-abstract style which is the route my own work is currently taking. I wonder if anyone else is familiar with her work or has heard of her.
Twelve days later, Michael, the answer to your question looks like 'No'......  I've been busy this last fortnight, so haven't had a chance to look Kerstin Farnert up, but I certainly will, and thanks for the lead.
I did get as far as looking her up online, but didn’t find anything much except the same book for sale, and a little about the Skagen artists who had a lovely style but really nothing about Kerstin which seems a shame.
For someone who has such a lovely collection of work (she studied at the Ecole Des Beaux Art in Belgium) it's surprising there is nothing much about her on the web. Anyway her book remains on my coffee table and I'm constantly dipping into it - the book that is.
