I want to recommend a great figure drawing book which I find has helped my drawing. It's by John Raynes 'The Figure Drawing Workbook' published by C and B in 1988.
Always good to hear a recommendation. Anything in particular that makes it good?
John Raynes also has a number of dvds - I had one of his books, but I think I sold it prior to my last move. He's a highly accomplished artist; I think he's still with us - I certainly hope so. He's very, very good on portraiture, too. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
Thanks for the recommendation. I really need to learn how to draw convincing figures; I have a long list of paintings I haven't done yet, because they need to have people in them. Kay Marriott
Thanks Syd, I'll have a look at his gallery later. Kay
