Hello - I'm new to the forum and reasonably new to painting in general.
My favourite medium is acrylic, but I have a question about varnishing.
I've been following the way some artists use only medium to thin their paint rather than water, building up the picture in a series of layers.
I know that it is possible to use medium as a non-removeable varnish. I presume then that there would be no need to varnish a finished picture after following the practice described above - or have I got my wires completely crossed?
