Please can someone advise me of the advantages / disadvantages of using mountboard for acrylic paintings? Would I need to prime, and if so (which I suspect is the case) would a coating of gesso suffice? Also, what would be the best method of cutting it to the size I want ? All advice on any aspect of using or not using mountboard gratefully received. Thank you in advance.
