I am using a landscape recipe from Terry Harrison's book, Brush With Acrylics...in this he demonstrates how to paint realistic rocks using a card such as a credit card...this I tried last night using the colours perscribed...MUD...I know I can paint over this but I was so disappointed...had anyone else tried this technique?...I am not really a landscape painter but I'm sort of committed to this one...my instinct was to use a sponge loaded with the colours I want to use but this technique looked so good, easy and quick I thought I'll get this painting finished by the weekend...this was believing that by using this technique I would finish the rocks last night...am I a sucker for a book, inexperienced or does this technique only work for Terry Harrison...any suggestions gratefully received 8-)
