Just before Christmas I was asked to paint a dozen townscapes for a project in a small town near my home. The local business community wanted to give their customers an extra incentive to come to their shops while the main road was being dug up for a town improvement scheme.
The paintings went on display in a shoe shop and I am happy to say that 4 of them sold to the shop owners whose buildings I had depicted.
