So here's the revised painting... with still more work to do... :-)
Actually, I really like it - how wrong was I? Let's hope the client likes it. By the way the shadowing on the leopard looks much better.
Okay YoWzaH - the tigers are on the gallery - WARNING - don't view whilst eating in case you pepper your computer screen!
thats nice :-) and I like the finished background,it makes me think "africa" :-) I`m always one of those people that puts background in first, it suits the kind of work i do though. your painting makes me think to paint more animals, usually i just use silhouettes of animals in my work, Stu - my paintings online

Looking forward to seeing the finished painting YoWzaH.
Painting complete... now to consider what varnish and what method to use... If anyone could advise, that would be wonderful! :-)
This is acrylic, is it? In which case, I'd use a light acrylic varnish, such as is made by many companies: my current one is made by Chromacolour, and I like it because although it's a gloss, it's not one of those harsh, ultra-shiny glosses. This would suit - as many paintings really don't - a satin-effect varnish, I think. It would pay to give his some thought, and not just use whatever varnish you happen to have in the store-cupboard. Golden Acrylics make good varnishes, I'm told: I can't vouch for that as I've never used them, but if you look up Will Kemp - just Google the name, you'll find him - he has a lot to say about the application of acrylic varnish. He's also very helpful in responding to requests for advice. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
