I'm using acrylics again, and really enjoying the rich colours and the buttery texture of the paint as it comes from the tube. BUT...I cannot keep my palette clean and the colours clear, which can result in an harmonious painting, or more often in 'mud.' What method do you use when going from one colour to another, using the same brush, and picking up from your palette? For instance, do you wash your brush each time before you pick up a different colour to mix and modify the tint you are using? Or do you clean it first by wiping it on a cloth? My colours end up (on the palette especially,) looking like an abstract painting in themselves as I scoop up indiscriminately/lazily? with the tip of an already tinted brush...very striking, but not what I want to happen....I would love to get some enlightenment on this vexing subject..... please help.....HELP!
