Steve you do like in your face! I am still in awe of your painting ability after such a short time. I did comment on your Cotswold one re the GREENs Maybe you like the vibrancy, for me it dosent ring true.
Can I suggest you now start to look at your colours ,tell me to shut up if you dont want to know. But if you are interested . Personally would need sunglasses for the foliage here. my original suggestion was to tone down your paintbox green with red or blue, and maybe mix your own colour with yellows and blues.
I think your draughtsmanship is excellent. Why not have a play with colour mixing?

You have a good point Sylvia, in fact one of my tube greens - permanent green - is so bright that I haven't found a use for it yet, so I will try your suggestion of toning it down with a little red or blue. One thing I don't do is mix my own greens because I am never very successful. A good tip for us all.

Thank you all for your kind comments, yes Sylvia I am grateful for your advice and I have taken it on board with the piece that is on my easel at the moment by using no tubed Greens at all and I must say it looks good. Unfortunately this painting was finished prior to your original comments and I never thought to alter it before I posted it. I revisited it last evening and I have toned down some of the greens with fixed yellow, black, browns & blues. Here is the result.
