Hi
I am very new to acrylic painting and I have seen various canvas work in acrylics and there has been some texture added to the painting, in one example the artist had painted a horse and the horse's mane was done using some form of texture technique, if looked as if it had been applied using a cooks piping bag, if this was so, what substance would have been used to firstly hold the texture to the canvas and also what was used to create the flowing mane?
I value any suggestions as I would like to paint a seascape with raised rocks being on the canvas?
