Hi there is there a good body or association for acrylic painters, also have you got to be great, cos I'm not...
The professional body is the National Association of Painters in Acrylic (NAPA) - how good you have to be.... well....I got in, if that's any help! There is a selection process, and I presume (and I hope, to be honest) that there is a minimum of expertise required. Googliing will find them. Failing that, you could start your own local group of acrylic painters and work up from there, although that's not really what you asked.
I am thinking of joining it.
Why not? Nothing attempted, nothing gained...
Robert will hopefully advise
If you go to the website, www.napauk.com, you should find all the information you need. NAPA have an annual exhibition, and you get to show some of your work on their website - like a lot of these things, what you get out of it will depend very much on what you're prepared or able to put in; I certainly have a feeling that the association has a lot of potential for future growth, and perhaps local groups - should that be appealing to anyone: some of us don't particularly want that sort of involvement, perhaps, but for those who do I think there's plenty of scope.
