The Victorians attached meanings to flowers thereby enabling coded messages to be sent in floral arrangements. The Northamptonshire Botanical Artists' Society (NBAS) has used this 'language of flowers' as its theme for its latest exhibition. Each work is of a different plant and has its own meaning. NBAS is a thriving group of local artists drawn together by their love of plants and painting. Watercolour is the preferred medium.
